Notarps and REDD would you 2 recommend them for some one who planning building a fleet up?

I am planning on moving over to them but with my arthritis it going to be a little problem for me to actually doing the tarps. So I have a friend lined up to be my driver if I get my Pete signed on..

I think they would be a good place to be. You might ask some O/O's tho. I was a company driver there. Freight is kind of iffy right now with flats and we are going into the slow season of flats and with the economy the way it is I do not know when it will turn around.

No. I am done. I just quit a truck with no qual comm or tracking devices. These are rare now a days. Had a triple digit 18 speed, long nose pete. No forced dispatch. No one telling me how to run. Not the kind of deal you walk away from unless you are done. I have had enough of this and have lost my passion and it is time to move on.

YES!

Now they have tightened up their restrictions. Drivers must have twic & hazmat. Trucks can't be no older then 1997.

You can make it if your lenient on your running areas. Right now freight is slow. Even slower if your picky on what areas that you run. Some drivers won't run west coast... I thank those driver because I just pulled out of Albany, GA going to Oxnard, CA for a rate of $2.17 a mile.

Some drivers won't run the northeast or NYC. I thank those drivers as well because I'm coming back out of Cali at a $1.30 to deliver in Newark, NJ. Then I reload in Manhattan, NY at a rate of $2.92.

Some drivers won't go to Florida... I have never had a problem coming out of Florida & I know lil blue pony is down there right now... She had a reload scheduled just as soon as they emptied.

In fact, the only place I ever had a problem getting reloaded was Colorado.

Yes, freight is slow. But I'm keeping busy. I had to adjust the way I run & where I run to accommodate the slow down in freight... I ain't hurting.

Edited to add....

Also to any other driver who thinks about leasing on.... It is advisable to get a RFID tag for your truck. This allows you access to the ports of Long Beach & Los Angeles. And think about a sealink card.... That gives you access to the ports in New Jersey.

I was at the Pilot in Denver a couple weeks ago. Parked next to Mercer flat to TransFlo some papers. Came out and real nice guy was on deck with dumb bells working out. Said he had been there almost 2 days. Best he had been offered was $1.02. Said he would give it a little longer before taking that ####. I had extendable step so I was able to p/u some auction machinery at Ritchie Bros in Longmont headed down to Pharr, TX. Said he was going to stay away from Denver in the future. Liked Mercer real well other than this run.
