| Good video - teaches you how not to drive. New driver with the trainer - do you think the trainer was sleeping? I pray for both families.

| I was thinking about that too. The article said that they didn't know there was another driver in the truck until they looked at one of the logbooks. Then they found him later under the wreckage. I seriously doubt a trainer would have allowed that situation to escalate to the point it did HAD HE BEEN AWAKE. The whole thing angers me and that Wal-Mart driver came pretty close to get taken out himself. Baffling that someone would be able to sleep while a driver of NINE days traverses Donners Pass. |

| Oh my word. I couldn't even imagine what the Wal-Mart driver was thinking after he got out and turned back to see that truck. Prayers goes out to both victims families. Common sense says to slow down on steep curvy roads no matter whether in a big truck or a 4 wheeler. I seen it said here on the bottom of someone's post....."You can attempt to go down many times too slow but only ONCE too FAST." I have always stressed to my hubby that his brakes are his life, check them ALWAYS and that he has all the time in the world to get there....SLOW down take your time and enjoy the ride. I most certainly will show him this video when he comes home next week. |

| Wow. The video was just as I expected it to be. I drive over that spot many times in a week. The wreckage is still there. I was waiting to hear what company it was, but the reality is that since only truck drivers were killed, it just isn't news anymore. Now if they had taken out a car or two, then the public would be all over the fact that a brand-new driver was driving that strech of road.

| Oh God! This is just horrible! Just nine days and crossing Donner? WTH were folks thinking?? I'm a pretty ballsy Lady, but you wouldn't have caught me trying Donner after only nine weeks, much less nine DAYS! ![]() Thoughts and prayers go out to all involved.. including the driver who had to watch such a tragedy unfold right in front of him...

| Thank you Wal-Mart. Kudos to you for installing cameras on your trucks and NOW finally people can actually see what kind of stuff we see EVERY DAY out here. I once saw a YouTube video were a driver made a compilation of his truck getting cut off by cars and trucks. It was a few minutes long and very well done. |
