If you live in the kc area it will be good for you. If you do not live in the kc area, be aware. OTR drivers get no respect there. The ones who live in kc area get treated like royalty. They will take loads from the OTR drivers and give them to the local drivers so local drivers can still get their miles for the week. Very inconsistent miles. Operations department are a bunch of lazy, no accountability liars.

Pros

Maintenance shop guys are excellent. They do great work.

Cons

Safety department is a joke. Inward facing cameras. Inconsistent miles.

Great home time, good equipment, great pay, average 2300 plus, the only that has a life coach that will talk to you. When you having problems they talk to you and help you figure out a solution.

Pros

Friendly staff, keep good miles, make sure equipment is good working order.

Run run far far away they pay zip code to zip code the folks in the office get paid 40 hrs a week and don't work for free but they expect US DRIVERS to work for free paying zip code to zip code!!!! That's BS!

They don't know what they are doing over there and they run their drivers so hard they don't want them to have any kind of home life at all. They think their employees should be on call for them 24 hours a day 7 days a week

Been here 9 months and Like It. I get 2000 - 2700 miles per week, good pay, good routes, the shop is top notch on keeping the tractors up, and hometime when I need it. Great Company to work for, and treated like Family.

Came to American Central Transport (ACT) back in October of 2012 and have enjoyed every minute of it since. After about 5 months I decided to try their lease program after many positive feedback stories from drivers at ACT. Haven't looked back and enjoying my time here.
