I've been here since July of last year and I've had good miles and I get paid everything I'm to and if I got to do layover I get paid for that to. And I do get paid detention pay and for parking to. And I don't have anything bad to say about them. And I've been team with my husband since June of this year and we both make good money with it. And I get home time anytime I ask for it without a problem

I'd never had anything bad to say about HMD until now. Top line equipment, fair with pay, laid back dispatchers.
I'd gotten sick with severe Bronchitis winter 2024, which eventually turned into pneumonia. Being type 2 diabetes it gets worse because your immune system has a harder time fighting off an infection like this, especially if you don't seek medical attention. I had this infection for months trying to fight it alone till I just asked my dispatcher to run me home after I delivered my last load so I could get my physician to give me a shot or something. Well 3 days turned to 8-9 days and my doctor wouldn't release me. I asked safety if I could at least drive my truck back to Chicago to turn in...they told me not without a release from my doctor. I explained that wouldn't happen because he was concerned about me going back into the winter weather. They told me if they had to send a driver to get their truck I would be hit with abandonment charge on my 31 yr clean record. I have all the text messages and plan to file a claim with FMCSA & EEOC and maybe even OSHA
Pros
Top of the line equipment
Cons
Nasty when things don't go their way

They never maintain there equipment I feel like they buy them from auction something is wrong with most of there truck latest the one I drove and like everyone says dispatch will give you loads that’s impossible to make delivery on time maybe there not aware how trucking work then they turn around write you up and fire you that’s why there small company with high turnover make sure you have out plan before you start because they will run you with split like crazy and they don’t plan loads with hours of service you have they suggest you to point out the problem to workhound but they will ask you to reveal your maker and once you do they will start the retaliation process to get rid of you by giving you impossible load you will take your 30min break while fueling at the fuel island and keep driving i would not suggest this company to anyone and if you go good luck I’ll give you 3-4month you’ll hate yourself
Cons
Impossible delivery times worst dispatchers no communication

HMD Trucking Inc , I truly wish the Best to your new hires. I hope you treat them better then everyone that has left your company in the past 2 months. You company hires with high incentive mileage pay. It never pans out. Your dispatchers can barely speak English and have admitted they do not live in the United States. Therefore they DO Not understand the time it actually takes to get from point A to point B. Plus the drivers are discriminated if they feel their safety is in jeopardy due to inclimate weather. The drivers are not respected for putting their safety first. Get screwed on mileage, the company does not reimburse you for parking like they say they do I orientation, because nobody can tell you how to turn in your receipt to get reimbursed. We alone are owed 600 dollars for 6 months of parking fees. Never been paid out. This company does not stick to what they tell you. I wish the best to all the new drivers and hope you are treated with the respect that you deserve and the pay that HMD promised you. I know for a fact that they are relentless and find every excuse under the sun to not pay out. Oh, and you DO NOT get paid for empty loads like they told you in orientation. BEST WISHES TO ALL!!
Cons
They don't care about your safety or your inco.e
