The MLDS trucking job with Mississippi Lime doesn't pay well. They have a minimum pay guarantee of $800 per week, but it basically breaks down to only making less than 19.00 per hour with NO OVERTIME PAID because you work 60-70 hours each week plus weekends and holidays. Its not a real union job as they say. MLDS has its own small union called the 169G which only exists in Ste Genevieve Missouri and has no representation with the United Steelworkers system. They deduct high weekly union dues, but offer no benefits that a real union has. The trucks and trailers are poor condition. Inward and outward facing dash cameras monitor every movement and management constantly watches them so they can find a petty violation just to keep you from getting a bonus of any kind with writeups. You have to load and unload your own truck at the lime kiln and sit half of the day giving away your time for nothing. They only pay a certain amount per run, so you lose money daily. Very employee abusive employer that takes bad advantage of drivers. Turnover rate is off the charts, constantly hiring and always looking for another victim to exploit. Pass this employer by, there are much better trucking companies to work for that treat you far better also.
Pros
Insurance in 30 days, but high cost.

Agreeing with the previous posting, MLDS is a nightmare to work for. Pay is terrible, you work 70 hours per week, self loading and unloading trucks with little to ZERO compensation, and have a very incompetent and brainless terminal manager who terriorizes drivers with inward and outward facing driver cameras with audio recordings listening to everything you say and do! I cannot say anything positive about this circus of clowns that call themselves a truck company. Safety is a joke, trucks and trailers are worn and violate DOT regulations, and the union is fake. There is good reason they consistently look for drivers there and cannot keep people. It's because they suck and have no spine or honestly towards drivers!
Pros
Insurance is decent but comes with an unreasonable premium if you have a family, basically bring home less than 700 per week on 60-70 hours
Cons
Terminal Manager is a disgusting fake person who has no business being in the trucking industry.
