Started as a student and been with Tyson for 9 months . If you can run they will run you till your clock runs out . Trucks are always taken care of . And always a day early for my home time . Stay out 24 days and home for 4 days plus the day I get home . Dispatcher is great and always finds me loads that are ready to go . So I’m not waiting on a load to be ready . Rarely, like on sundays when most Tyson plants are closed will I have to wait for a load . Maybe happened twice since I been here 9 months. Rarely do I have a week under 3k miles , and that is usually due to weather such as high winds, snow , etc .. not due to dispatcher .
Pros
Home time , good miles , great pay for new drivers .
Cons
Not much I can think of .

This is an overall good place to work. While no place, driving job or not, is perfect. I am satisfied with this job. The support I have received from my fleet manager, dispatchers (day, night, weekend), HR, driver support, etc…. is great.
I do admit, all of the buzzers, Esmart, etc…. does take some getting use to.
Pros
I get home on time, and when I need to be there.
Cons
Not enough westward runs. A lot of southeast runs.

Equipment is excellent. Pay is decent. Definitely some upsides to working here. Some of the plants are filthy nasty. The biggest downside I've found to date is the attitudes of the dispatch personnel; namely Pottsville. The act more as judge and executioner than a support team. There are constant threats towards the drivers of termination, suspension, lose safety bonus, etc. You never seem appreciated and no matter how well you do,; as soon as there is one mistake even minor the go on the attack. The dispatch team is stone faced and come off more as a threat instead of support. I've definitely found real support from the Springdale personnel. I enjoy the work, the places I go, but those terminal personnel in Pottsville are very sour and threatening. There are better private fleets than this one. I think they put on a facade about being safety conscious and driver appreciation, but their actions show it not to be true.
Pros
Equipment, home time
Cons
Management attitudes, poor communication, quick to threaten to terminate or suspend
