1 of the best small companies out here that actually treat their drivers good. I have been here over 15 years and started real young. If your willing to put n the work, you will be successful here hands down.

i worked from january to april 2025 and contract was ended in retaliation for complaint filing. i got no notice until i was brought back to corporate office and safety director stated ending of contract and refused to tell me why. very cold hearted and uncompromising small carrier. with rude associates as well. as recruitment lied to me and false advertised. as lease was as advertised but other things were not following. recruiter after that stayed clear of me and avoided callback requests. associates in office were like robots and when calling to get help acted slow and would not stop talking to help have resolution in problem solving. lots of nepatizim was shown as it would be brought up in conversations to coverup behaviours. and deflect accountablity. i was harrassed, cursed, attempted intimidation, given false dot regulations along with other drivers. logs would be edited to not give a driver oppurtunity too. and in some cases illegal edits were done by safety and logs department. tractor was 2023 and had electrical issues passed on to me. sensors and transmission and no maintenance records were given to me. service centers were limited to midwest areas and certain service centers specifically in state we were in. trucks were no dot legal with windshield cracks and visible oil leaks. these were passed on to driver. shop lead was no up to speed on do regulations. and was former state trooper. office personnel were of no diversity. i made only few decent paychecks. and went in hole most of time. detention and layover were never paid to me. and excuses were given to me when i questioned and i was lead on by dispatchers. communications were poor and inconsistent as i would not be comprehended and would have to clarify simple communications over and over. i would strongly suggest staying away from barlow truck lines as lease and company driver as well. as company drivers got little to no miles and sat alot. a 30 year driver left them and they didn't even care. hometime would be interrupted as well if you tried to work with them. they would find a load and set it up and would not notify driver until afterwards. this was not unintentional it was planned. calls would be conferenced for multiple people to listen in on. smaller is not always better. prime example

Pros

good fuel surcharge

Cons

poor communications and listening skills. amongst dispatchers and associates. safety and compliance ignorant to dot rules and regulations. poorly serviced trucks. false advertising.

I starting working for Barlow in October 2018 until February 2019 and I was guaranteed 2000 a week never saw that the truck payments are way too high 1,188.00 a week out of the check and absolutely no home time very rude dispatchers and management and was even wrote up because the company wont fix anything and take out extra stuff out of your check and wont tell you anything about it. Life with Barlow is not good you don't get no benefits or anything no home life and you spend all your time on the road and your still in the negative and anything that goes wrong its your fault when in reality its the companies fault.

Pros

There is none

Cons

no pay, no benefits,no home time ,no communication and rude employees of the company
