Not a good company at all and if you want to leave and stuff You're 2 weeks notice then he turned around and said well the truck looks nasty and then he takes it out of your check so don't go to that company

I completely agree with the other review. Ed Lewis Trucking is definitely a disgrace compared to other trucking companies. You will only get .40 to .45 cents/mile. They disguise it by paying a set rate per week. Do the math before you work here. When I quit, I was earning only $1350.00/week for a 600 mile night time route. The owner's son is a joke! It is obvious he is a woman-hater. He is extremely rude and condescending, and will belittle you, and make fun of you to his coworkers. He will also punish you by denying you shifts, if you don't run when it is clearly unsafe to run. Everyone in the office walks on eggshells around him due to his angry outbursts. His dispatchers are his puppets because of his verbal and mental abuse. I wish I had switched companies months ago, and I only worked for him for a year. The company I work for now is wonderful in comparison! Google the owner's son before you go to work here. My advice is also to please, carefully do your research on this company before going to work for them.

Pros

Can't think of any.

Cons

Horrible health insurance. Verbal and mental abuse. Lots of illegal driving.

Ed Lewis trucking is a disgrace to local trucking companies. They will pay you to run like a striped ape, and then they will edit your logs so you magically have more time to drive. The owners son/driver manager is a very cruel man, he will find ways to belittle you if your a woman. I worked for them for only a few months, and in that time it became extremely apparent that he suffers from angry outbursts only akin to "little man syndrome." Please be careful before trying to work for this company. No pay check is worth the mental and verbal abuse that Ed Lewis trucking has to offer. pay is weekly around 1000 a week.. but you will earn every penny.

Pros

Paycheck Jamie (erics brother) is head of HR. Its a conflict of interest, sure, but he is a very nice guy. So long as you don't need him for anything.

Cons

Verbal and mental abuse Illegal driving Terrible health insurance
