Not a trucking job, more like a cubicle on wheels, camera in your face recording constantly. Even when you cover the camera still records and they listen in on your conversations that's how they get to know the drivers.. lol. Probably why they dont allow husband and wife teams for obvious reasons. Kinda like a law suit just waiting to happen. No showers, laundry, or fuel at the yard. The older people are retiring, now you will be driving for people in their 30's who have never sat in a truck.. Check out their reviews from the fayetteville terminal.. Good Luck!

Pros

Maintenance, kept the truck moving

Cons

A lot more than what i wrote.

Miles will be cut after 90 days. Not a people friendly group. The office personnel (mostly the DM Manger Jeff), truly hates drivers. They would rather replace drivers than be professional. Safety will have you driver in blizzards to get the freight delivered. Your life means nothing to them. Freight before your life.

Pros

Truck maintenance and the shop are the best people you will encounter. Problems is most leave when reality hits.

Cons

You will be video and audio recorded AT ALL TIMES in your truck. Miles vastly reduced the longer you stay. The miles you drive compared to what they say is criminal. Was 32 miles from a p/u and was paid for 2 miles.

This is a company that has legally figured out a way to get drivers to finance the entire company. They will find a load on their load board paying thousands more than they write up on the delivery report for the owner operators. Then charge 27% of what they tell the O/O the load pays. So for instance, the San Luis to West Palm Beach load pays 9K. They will type up a delivery report telling the 0/0 6k. Then they take 27% of the 6k leaving the 0/0 with 4k for the week they schedule pick up to delivery. The company now kept 5k off the load, meanwhile the o/o made 4k. They overcharge the driver for everything. 10% for using their fuel card, plus the cost of fuel. $70 a month for the elitepass plus will charge the o/o to use toll roads on top of the $70 per month. Elite passes do not cost $70 per month plus the use of toll roads. The money goes towards cooperate, not the cost of the equipment. They charged me for the rest of the year to license the truck and road taxes even after I left and returned all equipment. Cooperate are a clique as usual. Safety will hate on pretty women but love on the men. Candice edits videos from truck footage to make the driver look bad (if your not a man she flirts with). Safety tells the driver in orientation that the camera is for our benefit but will use everything she can against the driver. When I told her I was pulled over she laughed at me and found amusement and joy that harm came against me but she always showed jealousy towards me. Dispatch left me sitting in the middle of nowhere half of the week. Owner operators are not allowed to find their own freight. Because they don't want o/o to know the whole load pay (then they can't pocket) as they do with all freight. Men are taking home 7-9k every other week. I only brought home only 5k every two weeks (before taxes and maintenance plus fees). They do not invest into drivers. They use drivers to invest in themselves. They lie, cheat & steal. Oh you can give dispatch a whole month advance notice when you need time off and they will make sure they get you home late and throw low pay loads on you. Making you sit in a dock the whole day you're supposed to be off and compensate $40-$60 for the day. 100% late a day or 2 after time off requested.

Pros

potential if favored (if you brown nose) job security its hard to get fired they want as many people paying them as they can keep

Cons

they steal money from drivers have to brown nose to be favored corrupted cooperate not trustworthy dispatch

In the last week I was lied to just so they could get me back to the yard and fire me, totally cheap #### to pull and they denied me my vacation pay because they terminated me 6 days before the end of my 3rd year; such a petty thing to do, where's your Christmas spirit.

Pros

Payroll department was very competent, as was the Safety Department and Todd was a good dispatcher and the overnight crew were always good.

Cons

Taylor Farms sucks, Giltner cheats on miles even though they have sophisticated GPS systems, even their own on board GPS showed more miles than they paid especially with Taylor Farms and Sanderson Farms loads.
