By car the worst company I've worked for and I started driving at Western Express. So what does that tell you? They will give you a lemon of a truck and trailer that will break down or have some type of issue at least once an outing. Then they won't pay breakdown pay like it's supposed to be paid. 100 per day every 24 hours. They'll pay you what they feel like. My truck was in the shop for 12 days and they paid me 400 breakdown pay. They will violate your contract and when you ask about it you'll be ignored. Trying to get the manager to help is a joke as well. It's like talking to a brick wall. They will not give you benefits on time or raises. Then to top it all off they'll screw your w-2s up so you are delayed in filing ones income taxes. When you call to ask them to fix it and mail another copy. You'll be ignored. The dispatcher I had said one thing one day and one thing the next. Lied to me on numerous occasions and made things up as he went along. Like he tried to tell me that I HAVE to accept tracking on my personal cell phone to allow shippers to track me or ill be fined 100 bucks. One day he's just the dispatcher and the next day he has his hands in your money and has the authority to fire. All in all this company owes me thousands and the hits keep coming when my w-2 says I paid North Dakota state tax and I'm a resident of Alabama. Always have been!!! DO NOT!! I REPEAT DO NOT WORK FOR THIS COMPANY. I have contacted the Better Business Bureau, North Dakota IRS and Alabama IRS. THESE FOLKS ARE CRIMINAL AND WILL TAKE MONEY FROM YOU AT EVERY TURN.

GHT is a small outfit with around 40 trucks. My husband and I run reefer with them, and we're pretty happy here. Our trucks are new and fully loaded; dispatch knows what they're doing, and everyone is easy to get along with. Any issues are taken care of right away. They give you a load, and pretty much leave you to deliver.

Pros

Equipment! Perks: microwave, fridge, cb, Sirius radio, satellite TV, inverter, and no restrictions on idling.

Cons

So far, only con is the miles, but I'm hearing that's an industry problem right now, so waiting to see if they pick up.
