I was hired as a guaranteed $1700 a week dedicated driver. My contract says M-F. I’m constantly working weekends, usually driving 5-6 hr round trips to Chicago just to get a clean trailer on the my days off in the weekend, and I’ve NEVER BEEN PAID FOR WEEKEND WORK!!! I have been consistently dispatched for runs that were impossible to get to in time and had to load/unload while on my 10hr. Called to report to safety and instead of being compensated for extra hours and weekend work, I was told if I pushed for it, I’d be reported for falsifying logs. I didn’t falsify crap, and the head of safety wanted to know why I didn’t call to ask questions and “allowed dispatch to take advantage of me” and I had to remind him I’d been trying to reach him for 2 MONTHS!! Seems like everything is a huge secret and oh there were 5 or 6 times I didn’t get a paycheck because, supposedly, they didn’t receive my paperwork in the mail. They refuse to upgrade with the times and have you mail in your BOLs in a priority envelope with labels and postage they provide, that they KNOW isn’t the correct postage so they mandate no name or return address on them because they have it worked out with the local post office in PA. Instead of calling to let the driver know they didn’t get paperwork, you just don’t get a check. I’ve talked to multiple other drivers in the company and they all have dealt with this. It’s not legal and NOT ok to just not pay people, and I’m getting lawyers involved if I don’t get my weekend days paid for when I’m gone in a week (and yes I gave a 2 week notice because I’m a professional).
Pros
Get free candy from receivers.
Cons
Don’t pay correctly and there’s ZERO transparency. Way way too many office workers who all refuse to communicate with one another, yet all seem to need to be involved in pay, etc.

Home every day, long hours, for the most part managers are good, pay is fair but not great.
With a few minor tweaks and some more money in the paychecks this company would be 5 star
