Nancy Baer Trucking Inc. is located in Jasper Indiana is a contract carrier offering dry van and refrigerated truckload services to the furniture and produce industries.
The company was founded in 1978 by Nancy Baer and a business associate named Ed Sander with the purchase of a $3000.00 used truck. The company operated out of Nancy's apartment. The business out grew her apartment by 1984 and she moved into a house and worked out of the basement until the business became too large for that location.
In 1990 the company rented a terminal on Jasper's north side of town. In 1995 Nancy Baer bought the terminal and doubled the warehouse size to approximately 19,700 square feet. A garage facility was added at that time also so that all of the maintenance for the company's fleet could be done in house.
In 1996 the adjoining property was purchased. This included an additional warehouse of 21,400 square feet. Today's operation has availability of 41,000 square feet of warehouse space.
The company currently operates 55 power units and has an additional 10 Owner Operators pulling over 150 air ride trailers, including both dry vans and refrigerated trailers.
The future growth of the company will be tailored to our customers needs. The company presently employs over 70 people including drivers, mechanics, clerical and management personnel.
