Pros
Newer equipment, sign on bonus, traveling everywhere, great pay, all but one dispatcher has been great help.
Cons
1 dispatcher named Conner B

Well to start off ive been on the road for a month and have not been home yet. BUT thats because i love being on the road making money. You cant make money sitting at home. Now as far as loads go i have only sat 1 day since ive hit the road and thats because i wanted to be out of service to get my truck serviced and a few things changed. My fleet owner Otis with YWC Express is very helpful when it comes to repairs. The shortest run ive had thus far is 600 miles and panther offered a bonus because of the short miles. I usually wont take a load under 1,000 miles.

Pros
It's a job and experience. See cool places.
Cons
On the road a lot, Panther only cares about Panther, loads to the middle of nowhere make you sit. Dispatchers are condescending and have no idea how life, let alone this industry, actually works.

Dispatchers are young with no life experience. Some won't let you finish in your "other office" or let you review the load offer. Most get irate if you refuse the load regardless of the reason. "Fleet Experience" team doesn't actually care how you're doing or if you have any concerns and some will make excuses for the negative attitudes of the dispatchers. Some fleet owners will tell you to be more aggressive in getting loads, but the Contractor Relations department won't do anything for you if you call them. Bonuses have gone extinct and sometimes it's a battle to get tolls getting to the load let alone anything else. Some fleet owners (especially mine) do care about their drivers, but do your homework on them. Some are snakes. The high maintenance score I gave was for my fleet owner. He cares about his driver's and his trucks.

Pros
a job equipment is ok you get to travel
Cons
This is a scam company

Drivers Beware!!!! Rip off Alert!!!! Panther Pays the fleet owners not the Drivers. The Fleet owners will steal from you. The fleet owners will never want you to go home, home-time is very short. The truck runs ok, but the fleet owners hate paying for repairs. So the owner I was with would try to do repairs himself. Feet owners will charge you for insurance, and an escrow. They will want you to do a sleep apnea test if you are a little over weight, but wants you to pay for it out of your pocket. Fleet owners will also deduct the Orientation, DOT physical,Travel , and hotel out of you first check. They are going to promise that you will make all this money. However it is the fleet owners that makes the money, then pays you what he/she feels you deserve. New Drivers should avoid this company at all cost.

Pros
It is a job
Cons
Dispatch holds grudges, mislabel bonuses , when you refuse a load in accordance with guidelines....they put up list of "screw this driver".....youre done working for the week when that happens.....I pray they all get cancer of the genitals

Not a great place to work...they offer you a load to the sticks and get mad when you don't jump at the chance you sandbag your own earnings...dispatchers get a percentage of what they don't offer....ask one about double paycheck weeks...

Pros
Good pay, flexible time, own boss
Cons
During orentatio time needs to be spent on advising drivers on financial aspects of being a owner operator. Many are 1st time drivers

I was on owner operator with Panther for almost 15 years which tells my satisfaction with them company. On their road I listened to drivers complain. Their would cherry pick loads and wonder why they were'nt running; looking for loads that would pay their van pymt. Key to making it was to keep them wheels turning which means accepting them good with them bad. Too many drivers who have no idea how to run their business.
