Been with them for just over a year now. Absolutely one of the best companies I've ever worked for. Negative reviews are probably from competitors not actual employees.

Pros

Treat you like family

Cons

None as of yet

HEADS UP! This place was the biggest mistake for trying out an independent contractor, back in 2017 I answered their request to come drive for them, I was set up with one of they're drivers who supposedly owned a few good trucks, the truck i was put into was horrible, broken down old 10 speed, no air conditioning, the owner apparently had issues with it, it had to remain running due to some mechanical failure, I spend what little money i had left on lyft going from one place to another. For 1 whole week i got NOTHING to make a run or load, on top of that this joke of a business lost me in their data bank where I had no DOT log in. I was so annoyed and fed up with the crap I had been put through I just said enough is enough I'm leaving and went out to search for a better choice. Now they put on my hire-right that I broke a lease? and just up and quit? Like i didn't tell them why I was leaving? Oh please, I would come back to that place if they were the last trucking service on the planet. Independent Contractor driving may be someone else's dream IF they got money to fall back on but in my opinion I wouldn't recommend it. I found out being a company driver you have a better chance at getting somewhere "depending on that company and what it truly stands for and behind" Not all are horrible if they keep true to their statements but yes there are ones out there that just are down right stupid, pompous and ignorant and cant see the woods from the forest. Same with Dispatchers, either they get it or they don't, cause in the end you got to take care of you and its your career on the line.

Pros

Zero

Cons

Misleading and too much drama

Try Hours is a good company to work for because they are not bossy or overbearing. There is no forced dispatch, you can get home when you want to. However, they aren't a real big fish in the expeditor pond, and a lot of the freight they get is overflow freight, so sometimes you run your butt off and sometimes you sit for days. The equipment isn't top of the line, my fleet owner uses Ford cargo vans. But I don't mind, in fact I think I prefer the cargo van to the sprinter types because they really are good and dependable and pretty easy to drive and maintain. If you are willing to hustle, you can make a decent living working for Try Hours. I have never had a problem with company management, it's a smaller company and almost like family really.

Pros

Good people, no forced dispatch, lots of home time.

Cons

Older equipment, overflow freight, sometimes too much down time.
