If you work for this company, you are actually working for whichever automotive manufacturer they haul for. If that plant, let’s say Honda in Alabama works Saturday, you work Saturday. If they shut down or pause production, your work and paycheck pause, too. Sliding pay scales were introduced at the beginning of the year. Unless you run 6-7 days a week it’s hard to obtain the required miles to qualify for the higher pay rate. Most positions are dedicated runs! Apparently, a drivers skills and time are less valuable on the weeks he or she runs less miles. I resigned the end of June and was basically told I was s**t out of luck because bonuses paid out in July, after I was gone. Bonus should have been included in my last paycheck. Just one of the dirty low down ways they try to save a dollar. Wouldn’t be writing this if I’d received all my pay after resigning. In 3 years, I requested 2 days off and never called out sick. My thanks was being cheated out of pay. I even submitted a 2 week notice when resigning.

Pros

Decent home time, weekly paycheck

Cons

inconsistent pay, poor communication with dispatch

I won't work for a company I don't trust. Full time work, part-time pay. Advertise one thing, delivers another. Worked for 3 months, finding they are very unorganized. I gave no notice due to the report of other drivers experience.

Pros

They are my inspiration for becoming my own boss!

WELCOME HOME DRIVER!!!! I am working out of the Falkville, Alabama yard hauling Nissan car parts from Shelbyville, TN to Falkville, AL. It's 100 miles up and 100 miles back and I get paid $90.00 per trip. ($1350 per week if you run 3 per day) The equipment is new and well maintained. The trucks are 2016 and newer 579 Peterbilt daycab tractors. Most of them are 2017 10 speed automatics. There are about a dozen or so 2016 10 speed manual transmission trucks still running and that's my first choice when I pick out my truck for the day. I don't know how my dispatcher could be any better? Everyone is helpful and respectful. I've been there 5 months and plan on staying as long as they will have me. They do shut down twice per year when the Nissan plant shuts down for re-tooling. Once for a week or two in July and once for 2 weeks at the end of the year. The electronic dispatch is called driver central and it's web based. I pull it up on my phone along with the Loves's App for fuel. Very convenient! Of course all the trucks are equipped with electronic logs. In summary, if you are a hard worker and show up to work everyday without complaining, you are safe and courteous on the road, you have a clean and professional appearance, you want to be home daily and make close to $70k per year, then apply here and tell them Brad Hawkins referred you. http://intelliapp.driverapponline.com/c/ventureexp?

Venture Express

Venture Express came up into Ohio and bought out my company Chambers Leasing System April 1st 2016.
Told all the drivers that everything was going to stay the same till the end of the year. One month later, they are closing a terminal, moving a terminal, letting people go, selling equipment & telling current drivers they want us on a setup like down south to maximize the 11/14HOS and that we will not be bidding on runs we want to be on anymore and having a dedicated run daily.
The options they gave amount to garbage pay for longer hours! Drivers are giving notice, some have left and some are hold out till the Honda shutdown pay and then leaving.
The word about them is spreading and they are having a hard time finding drivers, as chambers was not the best paying Honda contract company, but they were an ok company for the long term drivers with 10+ years(new drivers didn't make much and most were straight out of school) and Venture is paying out the nose for outside companies to cover their contract Honda runs(more then they get for the contract).
Some drivers are now working for those outsource companies doing their same run when with Venture and making more money now.
I hope they go down and piss Honda off, i've heard that some of the Honda management people said Venture better not mess up or they will be dropped. They have others to do the runs if needed if Venture drops the ball. Which they already have it slipping thru their fingers!
