I've been at Watsontown Trucking for 9 1/2 years so far and really like working there. People have their opinions on the company as you can tell but I think that it is a really good place to work. As far as the negative postings all I can say is it never happened to me personally. Is it all rainbows and unicorns no but what Trucking company is. You get paid by the hour here all hours, driving, on duty and if you are working thru your 30 minute break, they don't pay you for you 10 hour break which is understandable. In the 9 1/2 years I've been here I have never had a problem with dispatch, planners, shop or human resources, they have always helped me whe I needed it and human resources is definitely the best that I have ever dealt with. Yes you have to help with windows but trust me, if my 58 year old behind can do it anybody can and as far as the Kawneer is concerned we are not supposed to touch it or help with unloading it's up to the customer. I drive southern regional I guess you would say and love it. You get weekends off if you want them or stay out, it's up to you. We also have local home daily drivers. Overall my experience with watsontown trucking has been a very good one, will others have a different opinion I'm sure. But I can honestly say that this is a very good company to work for as long as you are not afraid to work. I would highly recommend this company.

Pros

Time off is great Office staff is easy to work with Shop staff are easy to work with Just a very good working environment for truck drivers in my opinion

Cons

None that I can think of at this moment

I have been with Watsontown trucking for over 10 years now this is a great place to work. Yes you need to jump loads of Windows and aluminum so if all you want to do is drive then do not apply here I'm treated VERY well and my home time is outstanding

Stay away from Watsontown they promise $19hr for all hours. The equipment is junk! Abs light on shop says drive it don't worry about the light samething with check engine light and SRS light! They run you to your 14hrs are up and make you take your 10hrs off at the customers location or on the side of the road. Bring a cooler with food cause you will need it! Forget about showering when you call safety nobody wants to hear about it. dispatchers treat you like ####! Tell them you wanna go home for the weekend they will tell you its not there problem they have loads that need to be delivered refuse any load the dispatcher will fire you! The are total liars once they get you onboard you will be humping MI Windows and doors all day driver unload and no time in between stops till your 14hrs run out then take your 10hr off in some parking lot forget about safety. The trucks all have cameras facing forward and the driver and they monitor them quite often almost seems illegal I guess they don't trust the drivers! Anyway I can go on all day about them. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!

Forward and driver facing camera with audio! Drivers were putting the sun visors down to block the camera and were told if they did it again they would remove the sun visors because they aren't required by law. They were complaining about talking on your cell phone even though we have blue tooth headsets.
