Outstanding driver managers. Will let you drive as much or as little as you want. The problem is with upper management. The company is run by kids who don't know what they are doing. I was injured on the job & they fired me. Be aware & beware of this company.
Pros
Home time when & as long as you want. Great driver managers.
Cons
Upper management has no clue what they are doing.

Weekly miles goes between 2000 to 3000+ if you literally drive the clock to the end. Trucks are governed at 70, but you are usually 75k to 78k Gross and the rigs are just not governed right. You will most likely get a truck within 100k miles of 500k and expected to drive it until ~450k where they say they'll get you a new one and then tell you you'll have to make do. Communication between you and your dispatcher will be spotty at best. They say it's key and then will forget to call you when you NEED to be in contact with them.
Speaking of equipment, it's either a T680 or a Cascadia. Most are automatics, but some clapped out manuals are available. Mileage varies based on previous drivers, but expect it to be dirty on the inside as all 3 of their yards are dirt and it rains a LOT in the deep south so white trucks covered in mud.
Most equipment is poorly maintained. No breakdown pay. I worked with them for two months and broke down all eight weeks save for two. Everything leaked, and was worn out. When shopped, I was told things were fixed. Took 3 attempts to fix the suspension's leaky air lines. Trailers vary in age, and are just rough, rusty, and empties can be spread out between the 3 yards and some customers. You may have to hunt.
Pros
Will let you run mostly as much or as little as you want
Easy work mostly, customers are mostly alright.
Cons
Fair amount of brokered work
Shoddy/inconsistent maintenance
Low pay for industry standard
No Breakdown Pay
WEAK Detention Pay

Best company I have ever worked for. They "shoot you straight". No unkept promises or bullcrap. You are home when you want to be home and you run when you want to run. You are your own boss. Works for me!
Pros
Great mileage in areas I want to run
Cons
Still trying to find what I would call a con.

This company is run by a bunch of kids who have never driven truck, and it shows. They have a couple of really good dispatchers. But ALL of the upper management are clueless fools. Safety and HR are both kids who have no clue what they are doing. The OPM will screw you over in a minute. Do yourself a favor and run away, fast.
Pros
Good trucks and a couple of really good dispatchers.
Cons
Upper mng sucks, Safety is a fool who has never driven truck. But he will sure tell you how you are doing it wrong. OPM will screw you over in favor of his favorite drivers.

I have been a Otr driver with wright for 10 years as of 8/30/18 , I have made 57,000.00, hoping to break 85,000.00 this year. The number one thing that makes Wright a better company then others is ... my dispatcher is also my planner, I’ve always gotten home when I’ve wanted or needed to be ..
Pros
Home when I want to be...
