Pros
At DST, if you act like a professional and an adult, you will be treated like one. Managements expectations of drivers performance is reasonable, you won't be whipped like a rented mule.
Cons
If you want to stay out for months at a time, that won't happen here. They like to get their equipment back often to stay on top of maintenance. Hardly a problem in my opinion.

I have been around this industry for over 20 years, I have found DST to be one of the very few trucking companies that treat drivers like family and respected as professionals. I am not on a dedicated run, but my trips are out and back. Time out on the road is usually 10 to 14 days. I am asked "when do you want to go back out?" My home time average is 2-3 days. When I return to the yard after a trip, the company mechanic rolls my assigned truck into the shop and gives it a thorough go over after every trip, not just once every 90 days like many carriers. If something needs repair, it gets done, not put off for later. More than 90% of my loads are dry van, few loads are refrigerated. When I leave this company, it will be because I will leave the industry, and not looking for another trucking job.
