Started working for this company back in 2021. The original dispatcher was a woman (whose name I won't give. Out of respect for her privacy). But we'll call her Ms. S. Ms. S was an awesome dispatcher. She let drivers do their job and didn't bother them. She was very nice, respectful, and had great interpersonal skills. Anytime she contacted you while on the road, she always had a bright and bubbly personality and was a pleasure to deal with. But unfortunately she ended up going on maternity leave and the 2 incompetent individuals that replaced her, made continuing to work at this company impossible. Apache Logistics had a contract with a trailer parts distributor based out of Byron Center, MI. Ms. S literally ran this account for years and did an awesome job managing the account and maintaining a great relationship with drivers and customers. This account paid .72cpm. You would typically hook to a loaded trailer out of Byron Center, MI and deliver 12-14stops. The west coast run is really good and you'll average $1,200-$1,800 net (depending on deductions)/wk. The money was good, but the 2 individuals in the dispatch office who are now managing this account while Ms. S is on leave will ruin this contract for this company. These individuals are now micro managing drivers. They are incredibly rude, short, and unprofessional in phone conversations (if you're able to even reach them). Drivers now have to get permission to do anything [where they didn't before and had full autonomy to appropriately do their job]. The new operations team is also unnecessarily scrutinizing drivers receipts for work related reimbursement. So now it's really up in the air, if you spend your own money for a work related expense, you may not get reimbursed. Also don't expect to know or interact with anyone from the Apache Logistics corporate team in Holland, MI. They are completely disconnected from your day to day operations and they're impossible to get ahold of. You also have extreme difficulty reaching the 2 new operations managers out in Byron Center, MI. One never answers his phone and is completely clueless and the other you may or may not be able to reach. The second most recent addition to the operations team has only been there for a month and knows nothing but is pushing around drivers and trying to exert his authority. There were only 3 people that kept me working at this job. And after my favorite dispatcher left on leave (as she has a right to do) things just went down hill and the work environment is extremely toxic. If I were you I'd try and get a job directly with the customer as a driver. New Life Transport Parts Center (Byron Center, MI). I don't recommend any driver work for Apache Logistics. Seek better opportunities. **My apologies. Review may contain grammatical errors**
