I used to work at pallet consultants for a couple years and it was a blessing. I was home every night and I'm logging 12-14 hour days and get the weekends off more times than not. Easy runs that go about 2 hours or less and have been making about $18 an hour with overtime and all. The trucks were all new and ran great when I was there. I loved having to only open and shut the doors and go. I was mainly hauling pallets and some empties and constantly seeing and talking to new folks. It's a shame now because I've been in a sleeper for 3 years now and I don't get to talk to no one for hours, the DOT is strict as ####, and I can sleep in my own damn bed.
