Pros
Stress free DM. Nice people. Nice ish equipment(truck). International Volvo and some freightliners Second chance company. (Dont need a second chance) Catch 22. You can become a trainer, you need 3 months of being with company to apply.
Cons
Low pay .28 cpm on longer runs .34 cpm on lower mile loads. Dry van Trailers need a overhaul. Or possibly even replace outdated damaged trailers and trade in for new equipment. Training needs to be one on one not teams. Trainers need more experience and not just money hungry team runners who havent even had a cdl for over a year (not all of the trainers there are a ton of good experienced trainers though they will still run you as a team)& Not allowed to have a inverter installed. Well, to say the least, im not someone who likes sitting too long (unless im sleeping, sorry dispatch i aint moving untill im well rested and alert it aint like im making a killing out here so im in no rush just dont like wasting time) i am on the road 24/7 but they have me sit over the weekends in the truck. i have not requested hometime yet so i cant comment on hometime priorities. DMs are extremely busy and will happily try to help. And im sure after learning this company it wont be hard to get that time off every once in awhile. Ive been with this company over 6 mo now, i feel like i could have dont better and be happier off with a differnet company I was told this job was otr thats what i wanted otr. NOT REGIONAL WESTERN STATES! i want to travel the country and get as far away from California as i possibly can but they keep me here in California and im sick of it! So anyways one more thing that would make me extremely happy is if they allow me to get an inverter rated high enough to run a gaming laptop. Im on the road its been over well over 6 months and i want an inverter! Boy i tell yah that would perc me up so much. Im a gamer and havent touched a game since i got my cdl its becoming a real drag and a bummer for me.
