One of the worst companies. Dispatchers are rude and ignore questions. Equipment is routinely sabotaged by Rosemount shop to cut drivers miles. Very low pay. Please drivers STAY AWAY!!
In orientation the head of safety says 'I'm the best another company wants hire me for more money'. Is that appropriate? Then proceeds to scare the new drivers by what he can do, how he will fire anyone he wants. Ends up by showing a 4 wheeler somewhere in China running into some pedestrians. Next a younger guy comes out and says' if you stink I will through into the shower.' He's talking about hygiene- saying he will throw a driver into the shower. Not only is that making threats, but threatening violence. This is in orientation mind you, even before getting in the truck. Then they bring out the dispatcher who we are working with- one goofy 20 something kid who looks like he was an underachiever and probably a troublemaker in high school. Someone who didn't get along with his parents or maybe sat on his back porch torturing insects. I remember thinking 'This is my dispatcher? This is the best they can do?' A week later one of the drivers in my group (there were 3 of us) said he caught this dispatcher watching videos in his cubicle! Imagine, a goofy 20 something year old kid watching videos in his cubicle when he is supposed to be dispatching and helping drivers. In our opinion (the drivers in our group), he should be terminated. What a way to welcome a group of experienced drivers! What an introduction! This is the Helwig way? This is what the company is about? This is what the company stands for?
