Pros
Pay, Schedule, you're a driver not a freight handler
Cons
When you start, you start as an extra. Which means no assigned truck/you'll slipseat. Which DOES get old. You really have to be a pro about how you do your job, which some may view as negative (I don't).

Hometime is tops... even when I extend I end up with 40 hours off every week. Sure I work traditional weekends, and if you qualify (and I always do) I get a weekend premium in the pay envelop. Equipment is good and I never have a problem getting something fixed on the rare times something needs it. 90% of what I do is drop and hook...the rest I get paid hourly. I've been driving for 20+ years and I've never made as much money (and it's VERY well paying) while doing so little in the way of actual labor.
