Do NOT goto to bulk for training, sounds like a good idea on paper for the XP, it's not. Additionally.... If you ever get TE Eddie Smith, run, and quit immediately. The guy is about abusive, toxic, and racist as a trucker can get. Has clear rage issues, VERY controlling, to the point that you actually feel threatened and need to defend yourself in a violent manner, he also expresses them, then mid driving..... forces you to listen to his prayer phone calls for hours, not paying one f'ing shred of attention to you until he randomly pops out an outrageous outburst directed at you over nothing (Seriously, its like being around a drug addict). Has been reported by several others already and still this POS is out there, using students for nothing other than a check. Guy cares literally zero about actually helping someone, only being a toxic POS that constantly suggest that drivers perform either illegal or very dangerous maneuvers. I know of 5 students that quit because of him already. He's only supposed to be teaching bulk, instead hes pushing experienced drivers into performing illegal maneuvers and chasing them out of a job they could've loved doing. No idea how this idiot is a TE let alone even employed. 2 of us reported him already and I know 3 others who didn't report him but absolutely confirmed to us that they resigned entirely because of this jack off. I made it a point to talk to them on the side at terminals and ask them how its going without ever even mentioning the guys name before I decided to leave this crap company.
Very deceptive as a step up from somewhere like ...lets say Schneider. These guys are definitely not a step up from them. The CPM is higher, like 25 cents higher than Schneider pays. Sounds great right? No. It's not. CPM means very little when you're stuck 12 days in a truck and they only give you 2k miles for those 12 days. Ya, not 2k per week, 2k for 12 days. So you think oh, well that's alright, I can relax a bit more. Lol, no. They put you with shippers and receivers so horrible that you spend 50% of your time waiting unpaid or lots so full you can't drop and wait 2 hours for a yard dog to do their job. But wait, they offer detention! Lol again. They won't pay it. I reported them to the labor board and still they refuse, with video and proof right on the BOL. In/out times and signatures. It means nothing to this company. Need straps ? You'll buy them yourself. Ya, you heard that right. Service no longer carries straps for drivers. Fuel will claim to put money on your card for them, but..... then that money is taken from your check lol. Reimbursement then? Nope, they'll say send receipts to someone but not sure who, after 5 weeks, 10 emails, and 15 phone calls not a single person was the "right" person to send receipts to, and leads pawned the issue off to someone else. And scanning them and sending them in documents you'd think would work, nope, they ghosted the entire thing. Doesn't matter if you reported expenses in workflow. I'm convinced that the expenses section has 0 employees assigned to it. Reimbursements for fuel to orientation ? Ignored once again Breakdown pay? They claim to forget to add it every week, and the cycle just repeats for months on end. Don't get me started on this companies CSI score. You will be asked to pull in at 99% of weigh stations, and if inspections are taking place, guess what, you're getting one. The grass sounds greener, trust me, this place doesn't even have grass. I packed my stuff, parked at a terminal, and never rented a car and drove home so fast in my life. (Not actual speed fast, I obey the speed limits!)
