Pros
New trucks, nice terminals with free showers, free laundry room.
Cons
Mix of bad planners acting like they are God of the truckers.

Drove 75K Miles in 9 months but a lot of that was because of the pay per mile and OTR I had to drive my HOS in order to keep my pay where I could pay my bills. That did not come from Swift it came from my being super hard worker. I bugged planners to get the long loads. However not all Planners are good at their job. Only some of the Planners are good at searching for loads longer distance. While many others pop out only short loads after short loads. I found myself after I left a few bad reviews on Planners to be targeted for bad loads. My income took a real hit and I read online this is what they experienced as well. I was also bullied by Planners, one would gossip to another planner to not help me. I was out on the road 24/7 for many months and I was feeling the burn out. FMCSA says you cannot force loads and withhold pay both of which attempts were tried by a few at Swift and I told them this is against the Policies of FMCSA and they were quick to understand and correct themselves. I found Swift to be a good company overall. I saw that they really take care to give even brand new drivers new trucks. The trailers are new and old but all are well maintained with new tires and inspected with stickers on when they were inspected. I did see a few trailers with flats but they have a program called Onroad that you can easily call for assistance to fix if need be. I did call them once and they were very responsive as far as advice and I found his advice was indeed correct. I found many employees to be great employees. I also saw kind of a military vibe at Swift. I think Swift really likes the military personel to work there because I felt the office was run like a tight ship. In all honesty I felt people were afraid of losing their jobs. They took their employment more seriously than I had ever seen before. Only wish the Planners were more of a key group to really help the drivers all the time each time and not be a thorn in our behinds.
