A&S Kinard is probably the best company I've driver for to this point. The equipment is very new with old stuff getting weeded out all the time. Even though I'm home everday, I still drive a sleeper loaded with a fridge, built in inverter and an apu. So they make sure drivers are comfortable. I would say freight is 99% no touch and alot of drop n hook. It's all dry van for companies like Georgia Pacific, Ollies, Big Lots, SC Johnson and others. The office staff treat you great and at my terminal they all know your name. The company now has about 500 or so drivers but everyone treats you like family. The pay is all hourly, even for regional drivers. You can start anywhere from $17 to $20 depending on experience and shift. The company always has picnics at local parks and even does Christmas bonuses for everyone. The company is now owned by Celadon but is operated 100% separately. There is never any crossover between the Celadon drivers/freight & the A&S drivers/freight. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone.
