Manager communicated badly, never kept track of my HOS and dispatched for what Ryder needed covered whether I could do it legally or not.

Started a new dedicated account Rochelle IL. Manager was new, but not new to trucking. Supposed to have around six OTR drivers but only had myself for awhile then got a Ryder transfer. Loads were poorly dispatched and didn’t work well with HOS at times. I was promised a toll transponder, fuel card for times when Ryder service centers were not available. After a month had neither and my PrePass given me didn’t work once. I finally just had enough running 700 miles to get back for next load which wasn’t done to meet HOS I had. Also promised two days off but with lack of enough drivers that really wasn’t happening. When I quit I never heard from anyone at Ryder, guess maybe they could care less about keeping drivers? My manager never communicated other then by text messages and email. So that’s the way I quit, was a email specifying why I was quitting. Never even a acknowledgment of receiving it. The lack of support was deafening, and typical of a person who was either overwhelmed or ill prepared to mange even a small fleet of both daily local drivers and two OTR drivers. Well now she’s down to one. Really, I feel sorry for that driver.
