Well; for one 2 months on a training truck results in zilch for exp. Who do you think will hire you with no exp solo and not enough stick time to upgrade to solo?
Crazy37, kickin chicken, AnotherFool and 2 others Thank this. -
Unfortunately Truck Driving is one career where EXPERIENCE counts period. Hate to tell you this but 2 months is nothing! You say you are comfortable now. Comfortable? Not a word in truck lingo! EXPERIENCED! Now that gets their attention. Look at the ads in any mag at truck stops, talk to drivers from small companies(not the big carriers) Fleet owners looking for drivers and the one thing they will all tell you is " 2 years experience REQUIRED". There are companies who require less BUT they are not going to pay you the top cpm. I got lucky after I got out of school and drove for a carrier, never got home for any time, got paid about .11cpm but kept looking. Found a small company close to home. The owner hired me at 20% of gross for 90 days, then I went to 25% gross plus 2% safety and delivery bonus and stayed there for almost 3 years. Stay where you are BUT keep looking. The really good jobs in this industry are not advertised for the most part because they don't have to. Comfortable just don't get it. Sorry.

Wait until you drive a full Winter season with heavy blinding snow and black ice then tell us your comfortable!
cactusjack, Dryver, Lonesome and 1 other person Thank this. -
if you could even get hired by another company, with 2 month's "experience," you will still be considered a student, and have to go through their training program. the last thing you want now is a resume showing that your worked for a company for 2 months and then quit. you do that, and you'll be out of work for a loooooooooooong time.
kickin chicken and cactusjack Thank this. -
Stick with your current company for at least 6 months. You really don't want a your resume to show you worked for a company for 2 months and quit. Don't want to get tagged as a driver that hops from company to company. Too many moves in a short period of time will get you a seat at home.

Btw great info. -
As long as your Werner trainer doesn't start crapping himself -you will be ok. =Don't use your Pilot fuel points on the giant burritos.
