I hate myself for liking the black volvos but I do. I can't help it... EVERYTHING is better in black (except the woman they posted the pic of last time I said that)

The black volvo was his first pick. He figured since they hauled furniture, they have not hauled heavy yet. Until I started asking on here about the volvo motor.

lots and lots of issues with the volvo motrs. mostly small electrical stuff but the big problem is they have to go to volvo to be worked on and there isn't enough volvo dealers. they also have two egr valves and I think they told me they were $3500 each. lol

for comparison it's about $1800 to replace the egr on a detroit and clean the system, from a dealership.

TG and GR, good luck. Sounds exciting! I was thinking of going this route myself as I was having trouble getting hired, but finally found a job and am hoping to get a call any minute to head out for the first run.

    Keep us posted!!!

    Be safe!

Good luck TG... you think this anticipation is bad, wait till after yo have your new ride for a while and then start the "I wants" of making it better suited to you... Its kind of like a boat, you just keep throwing money at them....LOL:biggrin_25515:

When I bought my truck, I knew it was to just help get me running. Nothing fancy, nothing newer. I'm putting $$ away so I can upgrade within 2010, so I'm not spending money customizing it. I do plan on having my trailer for a good long time, so in Spring I'll jazz it up, maybe throw on some LED's instead of the old bulb lights and a few other touches.

Best of luck on the new truck.......

As far as the "Lee Roy" reference......

It's an old joke about a trucker fixing to get in a bad accident.....

Right before the crash...he wakes Lee Roy in the sleeper....because Lee Roy aint ever seen an accident like the one we're fixing to have......:biggrin_2551::biggrin_25522:

Is it even possible to dress up a century? Lol

Actually I want to put a new visor on mine but that's mostly because of the HUGE windshield. I just can't get used to it
