Makes as much sense as not having extra fuses, but there are "drivers" everyday without the tools for the job.
Can we use bubblegum to fix a gladhand seal leak?

I had to change a glad hand seal on Monday morning, -39 outside. Hard as a rock. Had to chip it out with a screwdriver, kept fresh one in shirt pocket to keep warm until I was ready to install it.

They usually have them right next to the cash register at the truckstop, easy to grab a couple at $.25 each.

most certainly, that state CDL "written test" is trying to trip you up.
and, i'll bet dollars to donuts, some DID say yes, to bubble gum.
one point of interest, when you do get a job as a CDL driver, and get assigned your own truck?
stop by the shop and ASK them for maybe 2 spare glad hand grommets. if they refuse?
hell, they are cheap enough at any truck stop!
keep them in the drivers door pocket.austinmike, Rideandrepair and Flankenfurter Thank this. -
