There was one that got under the house. Thought he was pretty wise. I was going to just pop him, but Dad talked me out of it cause he said the cops would come for sure.
So I rigged some netting like we put over the plants. Probably about 6x6. Put some hot dogs under it. Waited inside peaking out the window. Hot dogs were just too good. Dropped it on his ###. Talk about screaming. Me, Dad, and the cats all toasted him with a Heineken as he was taken away by animal control.:cat:

You shouldn't lift that much weight Cattleman. A set of Tongs and some chain falls.

I had no idea Cottonwood had that much water in it. Doesn't make sense to me. Are they a river edge tree?

They are, but they also grow in arid environments where those stream edges become arroyos. As a result cottonwood have developed the same method of surviving as succulents.

You should have kept it for a pet. You’d have 2 Chihuahua‘s now, instead of 2 Cats.

Our older one was raised with 2 cats. She learned from them to stick her ### in their face. Lol. They loved it.

Yeah they like to grow along rivers and canals... But they will also survive in the middle of nowhere miles from water, I'm guessing in those cases they started when some water source was nearby.
