If they did that for a ticket, it's a pretty drastic reaction-don't you think ?? Did you leave out the juicey part ???

So they shut you down for 10 hours but then 30 minutes later come to tow the truck? I find that to be a little drastic. I just started with Marten and yes they are kind of tough on logs but shutting you down for 10 hours and then 30 minutes later coming to tow the truck and telling you are fired? I think there is WAY more to this story than what you are saying.

    jtrnr1951 Thanks this.

I know there's more to this story. 1st off where you sleeping during the log class? they told every body that they don't play with the log book. Run it legal or your gone. 2nd if YOU got a ticket for a log book that YOU control. Don't you think thats on YOU? 3rd was there something wrong with your phone.? Why didn't you can your team leader and get them involved in this? Thats what they are there for. I've gotten a speeding ticket (which I got out of) and no one said a thing to me. I also got a letter of commendation the other day for completing my 90 days with a perfect log score. So there has to be more to your story.

I've seen other companies use the same thing and it works very well. The point system is designed to make sure drivers understand that they where hired as professional drives and as such they will be held accountable for there action. It's the same thing the Fed's are getting ready to do with CSA 2010. Drive it safe and legal or park it. 19 yrs and no at faults, Log or weight tickets. It's not that hard.

How is a drunk hitting you at 75mph your fault? Now that is very drastic in my opinion.

Sorry not buying it. A drunk driver hits you at 75mph and Marten says it's your fault? Again sounds like people that had a bad experience at Marten so now the company is run by the most evil people around.

To anyone who has been with MARTEN:biggrin_25523:, will they take on a newbie fresh out of school? I'm anxious about getting on the road when I graduate
