Somebody else has slept on a furniture pad under the trailer while "the help" unloaded. Too hot across the seats. Sleep solid while they busy, awake instantly when they stop. Empty.... Back then they emptied it and another one or two, then took a break. Old days, older ways.

In my neck of the woods, all the vacuum cleaner repair places are closing.

I guess they're ging the way of the neighborhood TV shop with the big, neon "ZENITH" sign in the window.

Was Zenith the one that said: "The quality goes in, before the name goes on"?

Folded to left, driver door be back about landing gear position and up against the trailer. Have to crawl out passenger side door. Be tedious.

I thought that was Quasar? Of course, my memory is as old as that brand name... now I gotta look it up.

A friend who is an Owner Op, he wears a suit to work about half the time, complete with dress shoes. He likes wearing a suit and tie to drive.
When its time to get dirty, he slips on coveralls over his suit. He is a good man, and really good driver.
But he has been hassled by the jeans crowd for not wearing jeans.
I bought myself a new dress last summer to wear at a friend's wedding.
That next Monday I wore it to work, nobody judged me for wearing a dress.
My woods boss saw me step out of the logging truck, he swung the button top so the door was facing me, he opened the door, did a long slow whistle, then said " #### girl, you look like a super model. Who knew that the best driver out here, could also look so hot". I gave him 2 thumbs up. He shut the door, and put the 3 stacks of shorts on, when I gave him the sign that was enough weight. He blew me a kiss, I blew him one back. Jumped in my truck, pulled up a few hundred feet, and threw on my 6 wrappers, cinched them tight, and drove off.
As I was driving away, woods boss said to me on the radio "Darlin you class this group of grubby old men up so well. Have a great drive, see you in about 6 hours".
