The most important thing is that no DOT inspection was done. City Cop, No State Police. Good thing it didn’t get Towed from the accident. That would be reported as a Major. I had a similar accident in NJ. My Truck had to be towed, only because the hood wouldn’t close. The result was a DOT audit. Towed Vehicle or a trip in an Ambulance is criteria for a Major. Chances are the Court will be so jammed up, a Lawyer can get the ticket changed to an equipment violation, or ? They’ll do it to lighten up the days Court Docket. Sometimes the Lawyer will get it postponed once or twice, till they make a deal. Won’t even go in front of a Judge. I’ve beat tickets that way by showing up early. Keeping DL clean. Hopefully Safety Score is unaffected. Probably cost a big fine. Usually that’s how it works. TVC or any of the Lawyers Services can get the ticket reduced, sometimes to a non moving violation. Video, pictures etc. Jury Trial etc.Thats not happening for a minor accident no injuries. I would get a copy of the accident report. Just to make sure it’s accurate.

maybe the 2 wrecks are way different. but the damage is about the same. body work isnt cheap . even a half assed job isnt cheap

Fair enough, im not saying his frame couldnt be shot, but getting rolled over vs rolling we should expect a different kind of repair in damaged components (even if price *could* be similar)

    D.Tibbitt Thanks this.

They billed the insurance company almost 40k for that. Most of it was labor. But any body work done on these new rigs , to do it correctly they had to repaint the entire passanger side of the truck and all of the hood. No structural damage at all. That price was all body work.
