I'm sure a vendor supplies the spring assy to Volvo who just attaches it to the chassis.

Hey, came by the Wytheville yard and caught a glimpse of one tore up tractor. What I could see, I wonder how anyone made it out alive. Anyone care chime in and tell us what happened and how the driver is??

That truck has been there over 2 years. Driver fell asleep at the wheel. He made it out with some bumps and bruises. He was healthy enough to get fired.

Any of my fellow coworkers find out what was added to the monthly safety bonus in order to be eligible? And I’m wondering if this new addition is just for the safety part or for both the mileage and safety. I find it very questionable that it was sent out at 4:45 today and we have to get the particulars from our DM. You would think it would be explained in full by safety via QC. Don’t know about any other DM’s, but mine has enough issues dealing with most of his drivers taking 12-14 hours of a 10 hour break and needing daily wake-up calls.

I’m shaking my head about this big investment in technology to assist us in achieving “maximum and sustained” results. I’m thinking all one needs to do is look at our equipment that shows what can only be called an utter failure in our training and safety section of the company.

Based on my personal maximum and sustained results the 9 years and 1.4 million safe miles I’ve given the company, I’m thinking I should get double bonus every month. Oh wait, I’m still waiting on my 1 million mile jacket from safety that is 3 years late and counting.

That's got me a little worried. I don't mind the driver-facing cameras that only go off on a hard brake or something similar. But if they upgrade to those cameras with the software that analyzes your movements and goes off when it thinks you're doing something you ought not be doing (like scratching your ear and it thinks you're using a cell phone), that will dramatically shorten my remaining time here at Abilene.
