Webster always has the right, or rather, current vocabulary. They update with new words every year. He told me himself one day when we were smoking.

Simple roadside motor skills testing can usually determine if someone is impaired.

Yeah, in a limited sense of usage, I can see what you're saying. But in practice, I think the new drivers entering the industry that previously could not, would be partaking nightly for the most part - or very often.

Yeppers. Just like people who drink will continue to drink every night.....
Or, unlike alcohol, weed isn't addictive so people can stop using it much easier. We need to wait until there is a reliable test for toxicity with weed, but once we have that I see no reason not to allow weed.

I don’t know how weed production is going to take place. Like name brand alcohol and tobacco companies that are held to production standards to make sure their products don’t get tainted with poison or something that will kill a bunch of people? Or anyone that passes a test can grow and produce it in their garage? Name brand Alcohol distributors are required to have batches labeled with production lot and serial numbers to track for health and recall purposes. Everything is quality and safety tested and tracked.
All it’s gonna take is one crazy to lace some of it like the Tylenol Killer did in the 80’s and they may never be able to trace it to the source cause the potheads will still be dealing with the stuff like it’s illegal if the gubment doesn’t regulate it like a real major legit business instead of just using it to get votes in the now.
It just sounds like its gonna be more of a burden on taxpayers in the long run then they want you to believe.

It's already regulated in the states where it's legal. Well..to a degree.

Here's an example for Oregon when it comes to labeling for marijuana.
    https://www.oregon.gov/olcc/marijuana/Documents/Packaging_Labeling/PackagingandLabelingGuide.pdf

I think in Colorado they can only sell edibles(Food/candy made with THC) in 100mg packages. PA you can't buy food edibles at all. They consider edibles up there as pills, and capsules. No candy, or other food items. DC you can buy a 500mg pot brownie. For those who may not know, if you ate that whole brownie you'd be taking a nice long nap. ;) For an experienced user that's like...15-20 doses/servings.

I know from a family member in PA who has a medical card, all the stuff in the product has to be put on the label. The company who made the product(Flower, concentrate, etc) will also be on the label as will the store who sold it, batch number and manufactured date. Their labels also show the amount of thc, thca, cbd, etc which are all cannabinoids found in the plant.

Far as lacing the stuff...another reason to legalize it, and regulate it. I've yet to hear of a "weed recall". There was the issue back in 2020 with vape products, both thc and nicotine. That was due to companies using to much of the cutting agent(Vitamin B, or e, or something like that). Other than that it's not been a big issue from what I've seen and herd.

I'm not here to convince those who hate pot to change their minds, folks going to think what they want to think, regardless...so I'll save my breath. I'd rather have it legal than illegal. An no, I don't condone smoking an driving. Just like I don't condone drinking and driving. I do condone grown adults being able to make their own decisions on their off time though, whether they want to smoke a joint, a cigar or a shot, and a beer(s) I also condone throwing the book at anyone who drives high or drunk.

The pot game is big money. I follow some stocks/companies, and keep informed on the industry, because sooner or later, it will be legal on a federal level.

When retirement comes...I may have to revisit the wild days of my youth.

Don't take anything above as gospel, I could be wrong on some stuff...doubtful, but I could be. ;)
