Had a driver a long time ago that came from a large company with a fuel mileage bonus. He would put $50 fuel in to get a $150 bonus every month. Fuel was in the low .90's then.

I totally get where you are coming from on if something gets broke or bad weather. With arrow it does help most of the time but might not see anything unless you drove and knew it was bad weather and gained a little vs before hand. Hard to get a hard number regardless unless you do the samething over and over.
I might add the underneath stuff to my trailer for aero and to protect the lines as a added bonus. Gonna look at how they work when I get some time and see if it is worth the money. It cost me 8 almost new tires and $600 bucks to fix the air line and replace the tires not long ago. So if it can stop something like that from happening I will consider the added fuel MPG a bonus.larry2903 and RedForeman Thank this. -
1150 RPM is 62
1350 is 70
I spec'd my truck with he D13 500 HP to stay in that range. The D13TC can run 900-1100 RPM's and is made for the downsped.
I run slower when my clock allows it. I knew someone could not resist on rates. This has nothing to do with rates I am getting. I am doing just fine and not worried about parking my truck. I am not throwing money away if I can help it.larry2903, pete781693, RedForeman and 2 others Thank this. -

Well this trip had a lot of wind on the first day and 3rd and 4th day.
Trip1 43500 LBS in box MO to TN
Trip 2 39500 LBS in box TN to MA
Trip 3 38K in box MA to MO
Was 6.8 after the wind to TN from Mo
7.4 with some idle time from TN to MA and took the long way in mountains on 84. Should had been around 7.7 if I did not idle. ( Having some issues with charging my EPU batteries)
Averaged 7.1 on those two trips.
Last trip turned out to be 7.8 and over all was 7.4 for whole week.
With all the wind I am very surprised I got back up to 7.8 for the trip back to MO. I am sure the Flow Below helped out but how much who knows. I can see a difference from before on the fuel estimated gauge when driving. It does go up further than without the flow below and does a big difference at around 62-65 mph from before it was installed.
Will do some more trips and keep track of the miles where I have run before with same weights.
On another note my EPU batteries died a few weeks back and now they are not charging. I believe it is because they fell below a min current based off my research. I just got home and gonna try and plug truck in and see if that allows them to charge. If not gonna take to shop tomorrow after I drop this load off and have them look at it. Not having the extra batteries is a pain in the butt and that is why I had to run truck a few times for a couple extra hours. That would had put .2 back on the miles ran I believe. This would had put me at 8MPG on way home and most I have gotten so far on loads like that one was 7.8 just like today.Blue jeans, Brettj3876, RedForeman and 1 other person Thank this.
