I think you’re thinking of the place at the Texas/New Mexico line. Russell’s in Endee, NM, and yes he still has the car museum.

Anyone attend the party/awards banquet? Just curious how it turned out.

Came out of the house this morning, deadheaded to Anderson, SC and picked up a preloaded trailer going to Grand Island for Wednesday morning. When empty I will bounce to Aurora and grab a preloaded trailer going out to Fontana.

No, McDaddy is fine! We were both at the banquet and I sat with him. No real changes in the banquet except every one was served the same thing. No menu options. It was good to be there to celebrate the award winners and prize winners. I got a stocking cap, baseball hat and $20 gift certificate (haven't opened it yet). Got to meet a couple of the planners and a weekend driver manager. Still good to be there. I truly do feel like one of the family and that's thanks to the staff at FCC! Since coming out of the house a week ago, been from Lumberton TO Joliet, Romeoville to Lincoln, Lincoln TO Four Oaks, Claremont to Milwaukee (my current load) which I will deliver tomorrow. In this time of uncertainty, there is no shortage of work. Really good to be at FCC!

Now, from the cab of a truck, how the hell do they expect me to see that sign? Especially when it's torn lose at the bottom and flapping in the #### wind! After I got woken up at 2am by some ####### telling me he'd just put a boot on my truck and wanted $450 to remove it, I asked where the hell the signs are because I've parked here before. He walked over to that sign, pushed it back through the bolt where it's torn lose, took a picture and said "you almost got lucky, but the signs still there ". I'm so sick of this ####! Every major city wants their #### but they don't want trucks hanging around. Only reason I came here is because I'd stayed the night here before with no problems, there used to always be trucks parked at this Sam's. Delivered a stupid Walmart in Ft. Worth that didn't get me done till almost 11pm, only truck stop nearby is the pilot, that ain't happening! No parking at the shipper which I can't load at till 8am, so I figured this is 10 miles away, nice safe place for 8 hrs. Had I been able to see that #### sign I'd have figured something else out. This is a #### racket! Consider yourself warned, avoid the Sam's/Walmart parking lot in N.Richland Hills, TX on I-820. I've heard they have been doing this crap with a lot of Walmarts, first time I've encountered it. Pretty expensive night. I won't be coming back to Ft. Worth again on a trip where I'll be out of hours around here, F this place! Dallas is bad enough, but at least there are some hiding places on that side. Not many options on this side, and now one less than there used to be. Currently sitting on the side street beside Walmart waiting another 3 1/2 hours to get my 8 hr sleeper birth in, hopefully the local PD doesn't harass me before then!

It’s become more and more common place. My new philosophy, I go in to restock and then leave. I’m not giving some prick a chance to boot my truck, because I will need bail money.
