This industry is full of people that bought a truck and have no understanding of running a business. Idk that many people and honestly strive to not know a lot of people- its depressing how many borderline retaards are in this industry. “I’m my own boss duhh”
“I take a back haul because”

I could lose money a lot of ways, I rather have a good time doing it if possible.
I’m not without fault- but planning on eating #### to make a average is not the kind of business I want to be in.

Eta I bet a lot of people would be a lot stronger in their field if they talked to people in other lines of work. Ie I bid a project too cheap last month: guy asked for a number and I shot from the hip, too cheap. “Oh thats way too much” 5 minutes in I find out he thought I meant $37.5k on 1,200 when I meant $3,750. So come to figure he prolly woulda bit at a lot more than I did quote. People got a lot of different businesses that don’t look at “well what is fuel?” For what to pay for trucking.

actually inbound to Chicago from Los Angeles is doing better then Chicago to LA. That’s what i saw when I drove. But to each their own and as long as you’re happy it’s all just opinion.

That's a unique example but It is not consistently true, it depends on time of the year and produce hauling season. You also compete against rail.

That's a unique example too. Quite extreme... Lol
I know those gypsum loads. I refused to haul them too when I used to go to LV or LA regularly. That's too much time wasted and all that dust and dirt left after, incapacites you for a possible immediate reload.

    OK.
If someone's "hauling cheap" is shooting others in the foot, that means that they are quite dependent on what others do.
It's laughable how those business people climb up on the pedestal and say how others f...it up for them.
How so?! That's a chihuahua bark.
All it means that their business acumen is by no means as superior as they would like it to be. A good business idea supercedes whatever others do or pretend to do.
A German Shephard won't be worried about a chihuahua dog taking over its job of defending the watched flock of sheep from wolves.

The OM and I did like $7500 to the truck this week after Landstarve took there's.

That's about $5K to us after the blue sky and fuel.

Not mega carrier trainer money, but better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick.
