That means the truck does not require human interaction in most circumstances, but a driver still has the option to manually override.
To me, at this point, it's a fools errand. Granted, 5 or 10 years from now, it will be full on.
But, what do I know.
Seems like the folks at USX took their eye off the ball.
Always seems like they're trying to figure out ways to let computers do the work. And, once again, they'll get there, but not USX. Should have kept doing what brought them to the game.
Might still have the same name on the door.IH9300SBA, austinmike, Dale thompson and 3 others Thank this. -
What they are buying, in this case, is a forward leap in developing the corporate office part of that fleet. They can then replicate that out as appropriate.
The current sack of biomass that is in the seat is of little consequence and just an overhead expense to be cut or reallocated at a latter date.IH9300SBA, austinmike, Dale thompson and 4 others Thank this. -
Here's a fun little project... It was previously welded by someone else using wire feed, but it wasn't done very well and leaked. So I took it and ran over it with the tig to clean it up and fix the leaks.
I think this was the worst offender to the leaking... It appeared to be a defect in the cast stainless tee. Once I applied heat to the outside as I was welding all the contamination in it made it blow out an obvious hole. Reaching inside a 2" opening to weld it was interesting... Pretty much welding blind. Note the weld inside about 1.5" from the end.
Being as thus has been previously used with liquid fertilizer, the welds are not the prettiest... It was HIGHLY contaminated. And was no way I could get it as clean as I would have really liked it to be.Siinman, IH9300SBA, austinmike and 13 others Thank this. -
