Am I the only one working in OH? At 13:32 (2 hrs drv time left) get my next ld with about a 260 mi deadhead and picks up at 03:30 after Supervalu chewed up my logbook by keeping me there for almost 7 hrs. At least the ld is going to TX. finally out of this snow and ice.

Yeah, something is/was up. We were down in Conley and a couple people were being escorted out of the door with their belongings. The shop guy said there were about 42 unseated trucks in the yard as someone alluded to earlier in this thread.

I've been minding my Ps and Qs and running team with my trainer. Our mileage has varied to a degree due to various issues with trucks and loads. We got a load dropped on us yesterday that made me laugh. A fun little SuperValu, 3-stop load with anal retentive comments on each drop. The irony is that it was a meat load; We are running a dry van.

I will say that I like running the dedicated beer runs. Our DM is awesome. Out of my class, I ran into a guy who said there are only 4 of us left and that was from the Thanksgiving class. I wish bechtel would chime in here - a couple little birdies told me he ended up getting a regular, dedicated dairy run with a bump in pay and is home a couple times a week. ####### =)

Freddy store loads arent bad... its just the DCs that are bad. The stores hate their DCs because of the way the TRLs are loaded. I actually like the LTL runs. One run gave me an extra $120 with all the stops and detention at some of the stops.

Breaking news!!! HAHAHAHA CRE just sent me an email asking me to work for them... it took them almost a year to get back to me... lets see... forced lease... forced teams... umm no thanks.

This is my first post on the forum and I hope to make more. I am Going central. I expect it to be what i make of it. i don't mind being away from home. I am going to be at the Riverside facility on the 8th. I am also hoping to creat a youtube channel and trying to catalog my journey in trucking.

Welcome aboard. Hope it works out for you. Sounds like you've done some research and reached a decision. If you get the You tube thing going pass on the link. For myself these links provide some useful diversion along the way. It is funny when you read someone having the same experiences and also a relief that you are not alone out here.

Sorry to hear about your issue 1Bad.
They know how to be pricks, but I am surprised that John did not talk to you about it first.
On the last check thing. Check your Comdata card. That is where mine was.
I did not think I was getting it, but they had placed it on the card, not in direct deposit. They will not tell you this unless you ask.
I recieved my full final check on it.

    Oh on the California thing.
I think ALL trucking company's should pull out of that state. It is a sewer.
Just think. All the bogus regulations etc would be worthless. The trucks stop serving them and the economy in the state dies totally in a few days.
They deserve it anyway for electing the idiots they have been.

I even saw sunshine today and OMG!!! Once I got south of bloomington/Normal, I even starting seeing that there was actually ground again!!! Kewl.
