I'm at 23000 hours on my kubota and have used full synthetic 5w40 rotella since it was installed at 7600 hours ....drain cycles no later than 800 hours and it uses about 1/4 qaurt between changes .

There is a YouTube trucker who bought one of those new for his old cabover. He said that those units are made to be user serviceable with parts that can be bought at most auto parts stores. So once any warranty expires it should be easy to maintain or fix once things start to wear out.

Well, returning from ATL area heading to Shelby. Then rolling to Lincoln for an Ellabell load that I’ll run through SC to be delivered after the holiday once they open up again on the 27th. Got my next three days penciled in and will hit the front yard Saturday night. Probably roll down to Savannah on the 26th to have dinner with my daughter before delivery the morning of the 27th.

The wife is on break from teaching for a bit so she will be hoping on the truck for what now has become 1.5 weeks vs 2+ weeks but will be nice to have a bit of company on the truck for a bit.

Well after much deliberation and thought over the past several weeks, I’ve decided that going back OTR is the best option for me. This is not a decision I made lightly. I don’t like just changing fleets for no good reason. I’ve spoken to a couple of my close friends and family, seeked their advice and they helped me make a decision.

One aspect I am changing is how long I stay out for. When I was initially OTR, I usually went home every 2-2.5 weeks because I was able to. This time I’ll stay out for 3 weeks minimum, 3.5-4 being ideal. Obviously appointments and special events at home take precedent but that’s what I will shoot for most of the time.

I was planning on waiting until my truck got traded in, but decided that it wasn’t really necessary, so I’m planning on going back OTR after New Year’s. It’ll be traded in in a few months anyway.

That means I’ll have to hit up Lowe’s and Menards for a mini fridge, because until I get a new truck, the one in this one just isn’t going to cut it for OTR.
