Snackbar is chillin'....at Shaffer

I swear, Lincoln must think we're absolute morons. I got a message on Sunday reminding me that I can't deliver this Walmart load early. I confirmed that I understood and also informed them that I would have a 34 complete before delivery so there won't be any hours issues after delivery. I just got another reminder from another dispatcher that needed confirmation...my reply was a bit snippy - and it implied that Lincoln thinks we have to be told how to do everything but breathe...I am sure I might have stepped on someone's toes.

According to Scott (whomever he is) said management requires us to be reminded on Walmart loads. Too many drivers ignoring the warning on the load info about not delivering early. I told him it was just more hypocrisy from management. If we were truly "their most valuable asset" then they wouldn't treat us like ignorant morons and feel they have to remind us to do everything except how to breathe.

 

Then those drivers who are doing repetitive need to be wrote up and fired if necessary..they know who the idiots are..

A lot of our Walmart loads can be dropped a day early or the day of, but it will be listed in the load information if that's the case. Dispatch never says a word unless i have a question, because we're treated like responsible adults here, not 3 year olds

How some of these mega carriers stay in business is beyond me. Even when i drove a pumpkin truck when i was new they never micromanaged me to that extent

 

Lately when anyone sends me stupid crap i respond with a ######## remark back and it usually shuts them up
