2022 Cascadia, I'm a company driver. The wet drain gets to where it does not open when I pull on the cable. I have to reach under and push on the top of the valve. Is this due to powdered rust clogging the valve, or what, and what can I do to make it work better? Thanks

They get gunked up on the inside. Corrosion can happen too but they're brass so it's not a huge deal. Just write it up and have your employer replace it.

Hey, thanks to everyone for their help. I'm driving for a mega, and service quality varies from terminal to terminal. I'll probably live with it until I get to a terminal shop and see if they want the job. This is a higher mileage truck so we'll see....Last edited: Jul 15, 2025
Numb Thanks this. -
You could try spraying a penetrating oil or lubricant on it and force it open, then spray some more. It might get a little around the valve and loosen upsemitosemi Thanks this.
