Or maybe you think I can just an unlimited data plan on my phone and just use it as an hotspot instead, I don't know if it would be enough for me to use my laptop though.

Most modern phones should be capable of being used as a mobile hotspot. You don't need a special device.

Starlink Mini is the dish. It's about the size of a sheet of paper and about 2" thick at the biggest part. The only benefit to Starlink over using mobile hotspot to tether from your phone is that it works literally anywhere you can see the sky.

I played World of Warcraft for about 10 years using nothing but Mobile Hotspot on my phone. There's nothing you can do on a laptop that modern mobile data can't handle.

So most of our phones and carriers allow us to "tether" internet to any wifi device.

Turn on tethering and connect your laptop, tablet, or wifi capable PC to the wireless network that your phone is transmitting.

I may be reading your question wrong....but it works great!

You are already paying for a smart phone with data so tethering (mobile hotspot from your phone) may work for you.

I use it quite a bit...

I have used it on countless laptops to stream videos and upload/download BOL's, ratecons, etc....

Not every carrier and every phone allows it.

    I am AT&T on a Samsung S23.

T-Mobile has data plans for people that travel you can get unlimited data $160 a month or 200GB for $110. They send you the home internet gateway but you can move around and use it anywhere. It’s still expensive

Expensive as hell... $110 is not that bad, if it was for multiple people, but just person is crazy.

I have Cricket and I'm a the Samsung Z fold 5. I heard Mint Mobile have unlimited data and they electronic sim card, I don't know how good they are...

Can you use two Sims at the same time? Like I have my physical Cricket sim on my phone, can I download and use another eSim on it?

Here is probably the beast deal. I don’t know much about if true it sounds good.

It’s from US Mobile they claim true unlimited data even Hot Spot. It their Dark Star plan it unlimited everything and you can even switch network but looks like they charge $2 each time you want to switch networks.
