Flip a coin and get started. Looks like you are over thinking the whole thing. It's easy to do. I started with a dry box team outfit then did hazmat tanker for several years.
Best of Luck ~bryan21384, OldeSkool and Chinatown Thank this. -
I can't see how they could have changed much in the year I have been gone, and I always enjoyed working there.
If I didn't like them I would not have stayed so long.
Are you still in Seattle or have you moved to WI?
Swift has a small terminal in Menasha, WI. That was the last terminal I was based at. Very good people there. -
They're both good choices for a situation like yours
You said you want to live in the truck so you don't have to pay rent. Swift probably better for that.Last edited: Aug 21, 2026

BZN - Countrymedley (Nathalie - Poor Old Joe - Countless Days) videoaustinmike Thanks this. -
You would have to be smoking dope to chose Swift or Melton over Western Dairy.
And Swift over Melton is just as crazy.Last edited: Aug 21, 2026
Lonesome Thanks this. -
I saw that at a DC. I was pulling a Swift trailer. They actually had an office there. I asked him. He said sorry, you're an outside contractor. You have to keep your trailer till you get back home to turn it in. I pulled that thing on a few runs before heading home.
