Uh - yeah! It's summer in the desert! It's supposed to be hot at this time of year!
-
Jro169 thats normal. July and August average between 110 to 115. The day I moved to Coachella Valley( The Palm Springs-Indio area) it was 125.

Hey I used to live "just down the road a piece" from you. I was in the Imperial Valley for 8 years. . .

Big Don that's 1-2 hours from me. Both areas have really grown in the last 20 years. Oh Caltrans converted most of 86 into a 4 lane in case you didn't know. There is at least a half a dozen deaths on 86 a year. The two biggest reasons is grossly misjudging the speed that is being driven and drunk driving for those who haven't driven it.

It was 104* in Brighton....then it rained.....cooled down nicely....
-
Only 92 here today, pool still was real nice place to be....

Back when I lived there, 86 was a two lane highway, no shoulders and very deep barrow ditches. It was known as "The Killer Highway." I worked with ICSO out of Salton City for a number of years. Can't count the number of fatals I've been to on that stretch from Elmores Ranch to the Riverside County line.
