I'm new to the trucking industry and am trying to find out information about various companies. Can someone please answer the questions I have?

    1. How is the training school at Central?

    2. How do they treat the rookies that are willing to bust their ###?

    3. How is the pay? Do the newbies get good miles?

    4. Are you able to not take the insurance? (I have my insurance through the Military).

    5. Is the equipment decent to learn in? I'm not looking to get a new truck, but it would be nice to learn is something that wont break down constantly.

    Thanks for your time!

Actually you will probibly be getting more miles than that most weeks.
The first quarter of the year is the slowest. So do not let it get you down when freight slows. Stick with it.

Well, just checking in. Wayne is no longer driving truck. He went back to being a electrician. He just got on at a gold mine here in Nevada. $27 an hour to start. They are also hiring for drivers. Starts at $24 an hour and it is 12hour rotating shifts. No CDL required. All you do is haul loads around the yard. If anyone wants to apply, contact Round Mountain Gold Corp. You can find them online. They are going to be expanding and are hiring for everything. Heck, they still need 4 electricians there. Full benefits the day you start. It is in BFE very rural place but well worth the money they pay. Good luck everyone.

Also since winter is coming on most if not all the western states (that have chain laws) have really stepped up inspections to make sure trucks are safe to pass thru before winter starts. You see a lot more of the random inspections going on.

Last I seen Kurt he was still in at his desk in WVC that has been about 3 weeks ago. Yeah they are remodeling all the driver lounges, I know I was telling some drivers what we had at Interstate distributor drivers lounges 4 years ago and maybe the terminal ppl overheard or someone told them, cause I heard they were looking at large flat screens for the lounges and sofa, but not 100% sure
