Lets see went home for the weekend. I got back up here about 10:30am Monday and delivered the load I was on up near Albany. Yard to drop about 192 miles. Then sat at the Pilot in Rotterdam about 18hrs waiting on a load to be picked up at 10:15am. Go to pick up and the load was not ready I guess the 18hrs wasn't good enough I had to wait 2 more, both myself and another driver. So hit the road about 12:30 get a message to drop after 7pm. in Pottsville, great we get to wait 2 more hrs since we were down there about 5. This leg about 230-40 miles. All loads for Wed. pushed back to Thursday. So I white knuckle it bobtail style back to the yard in the storm, got a room here in town to wait it out. Have a load down to Harrisonburg VA for tomorrow (thurs) morning. So far a rotten week, to go with the many recent low mileage weeks I've been having, on top of being told we are too slow for me to switch to the other board which I've been trying to do since September. But, we are still hiring....Great

Hopefully we pick up and I can make the switch to the regional board sometime in the next few weeks. If not just keep doing what I have been and just roll with it,like I said no biggie, its trucking.

It's truly amazing how Georgia does traffic control. Just let the ice build up, don't do anything to clear it, then let what ever 4 wheelers venture out wind up in the ditch. At 2pm yesterday 675, 285, and 85 was a total ghost town. Right at the 149 exit we finally had 2 lanes of travel back again and it was clear sailing to SC.

Ah, the life of a truck driver. I always wondered if the people we haul for truly understand what we go through to deliver their freight.

Boy, what luck you have. They won't charge you for that. They might charge the mechanic who worked on your truck though.

I probably saw you today on 81. Hang in there, freight will be picking up soon.

I'm sitting at the T/A in Bloomsbury NJ 45 miles to my deliver for 9am in the morning. I've been there before, I should be empty by 10am and back in Pittston by noon. Louie called me today and told me I'll be headed back to Florida tomorrow. I guess the west coast fell off the map.

I got on the road around 2 today. Went and dropped a trailer up in MT Top and hooked to my load but I didn't have all my trailer lights, side markers and the 2 inners on the rear were out. Changed the pigtail but no change so I went back to the yard to get it looked at. Was there maybe an hr and back on the road, turned out to be a fuse issue. I'm sitting at the truckstop here in Harrisonburg VA at exit 243 and deliver just up the road here to Sysco. My backhaul is about 2 miles in the other direction here going to Mass. for Friday. I told Billy to run me thru the weekend I can't afford not to this week.
