    you are WRONG...

on many applications IT WILL ASK..." any arrests"...or "any convictions" or "ever been charged with a felony" or
    "ever been denied bonding"..????

answer YES and THEY WILL go as far back as they need to, or just "toss" the application into the circular file......

i don't know where you get YOUR INFORMATION from......

dont get discouraged just be honest about things with companies most review everything for themselves as long as it isent drug related you have a chance just keep trying someone will give ya a break and the schools know absolutely nothing they are about as bad as the lease purchase fleeses.just keep on the phone and dont lie youll get further if you are straight up about it

Don't you think it would be a moral obligation of any school to inform any student of what restrictions he or she may face? The school is the first real face to face event that a new driver is exposed to.

Some answers may be jumping the gun.

Depends on WHAT the felony is for !!!!

Would you care to say, then the answers may be more accurate.

this is what we do at my current school...my former school however would NOT tell the student of all the possible hardships in gaining employment. once we talk with a student, and since we do not have financial aid, we are not beholding to a set of numbers to make us look good. the student from that point either leaves or signs up because he (very rarely a female) wants to make a better future for himself. we do not deny anyone an education and we do inform them as much as possible, some leave, and like i said, the others stay...

but for the o/p's school to have told him no problems when he went there and got him to sign, then change their attitude is the basic "bait and switch" from my point of view..as a school only looking out for thier bottom line and the school recruiter to get his commission...once all that takes place, no one gives a flip about the student.....they revert to a standard speech of "well they were hiring last month, or they must have changed thier policies recently, sorry you can't find work, let us know when you do, we want to put a picture of you up on our recent working grads wallboard".....

it has sickened me so much about my former school employer, i just up and quit...too many what were really good students, but with bad records were being turned down for a job and many came to me for advice. i could only tell them so much, and it hurt to see them being hurt by the empty promises of the school's salesmen rhetoric.....you simply cannot say anything that can brighten thier day or outlook on their future after they had been through the wringer....

    #### all CDL Mills that do this, #### them to hell.......but it is something that until the government gets involved with and makes serious corrections, this crap will continue, long after i retire in a few short years from now.

We agree there. I'm glad you left your first school because that's just what the bottom feeders do. They have the give a ##### less attitude. I also believe that some curriculum should be mandated and that would include driving records and crimal records and how they affect the driving world. A new student should at least get something good for all that money he or she has to shell out.

i WANT to see government intervention in the schools as well..!! there has to be a "standard teaching and learning, and student requirements"...but right now at least, its still a private business, run by either corporations or greedy owners (both he same, i know)...

the ATA, has been trying to get this done....in fact, talk "was" some time ago that a student go through at least a 2 year apprenticeship program before he was to be "on his own"......

i don't know whatever happened to that proposal.....

but until the government or private citizens actions groups step in and do to the schooling industry what it is doing to the trucking industry, standardized training and qualifications of students and training hours will be up to each individual school or shall i say corporation...???
